Hypnobirthing®
Dr. Karen's Story of her Experience with Hypnobirthing®
When I was preparing to give birth to my son Gabriel, I knew that I wanted to do it without drugs and was hoping that I could experience it with very little pain.
After researching many different methods, I learned about Hypnobirthing® through a patient and knew it was going to be right for me. The course really empowered me through education of birthing and positive scripting that I used daily to prepare myself for the birth.
When I went into labor I felt confident that I could give birth naturally and was prepared. On April 5, 2008, I gave birth to a 9.8-pound, 21˝-inch long baby boy with relatively little pain and in only four hours!! I felt energized and great after giving birth; it was such an amazing experience that I will treasure forever.
I know my experience is nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to the world of Hypnobirthing®. When I hear of women that did not experience what they had wanted on their own child's birth day, my heart really goes out to them. I know in my heart that many women can have a calm and relaxed birth.
I have become so passionate about Hypnobirthing® and natural birthing that I became certified in the technique so that I can help other women attain the birth that they always dreamed of for themselves and their babies.
